A steering committee was formed in the early stages of the planning process to help guide the creation of the Boone County Comprehensive Plan, Thoroughfare Plan, and Local Road Safety Plan. The committee met several times during the process to review public input, provide feedback on plan elements, and ensure the final documents fit the needs of Boone County residents. A series of workshops were held to directly address Boone County residents’ concerns over the impacts from the LEAP District and development growing out from I-65. Two meetings were held in-person and one was held online.

Two Community Workshops were held on September 17th and September 23rd, inviting the public to come share their ideas on Boone County’s future. These meetings looked at big picture topics covering the County’s assets, future potential, and ongoing challenges. The presentation used for each meeting can be viewed through the link below.
